Membership

Health Services Credit Union, a division of Alliant Credit Union, is a select field of membership financial institution.  Membership of this credit union shall consist of and be limited to:

1. All physicians, employees and registered volunteers of health care facilities located in Dubuque County.  This includes all staff/volunteers at hospitals, health clinics, dental offices, eye clinics, chiropractic offices, nursing homes, etc.
2. The staff/volunteers of these select employee groups: Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, Hospice of Dubuque, and Sinsinawa Dominicans, Inc.
3. Students majoring in the healthcare field who are attending a college or university within Dubuque County, this includes Northeast Iowa Community College, Loras College, Clarke University and University of Dubuque
4. The following relatives of the primary member are eligible for membership: Spouse, children, parents, sisters, brothers, parents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandparents-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law, uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, and great grandchildren.

"Once A Member, Always A Member". There is no employment nor residency requirement to maintain membership.

Opening An Account
To take advantage of the many services offered by the credit union, you must open a share account. Simply complete a membership form and submit it. Our office will forward a membership card requiring your signature and those of joint owners if applicable. HSCU complies with the USA PATRIOT Act (Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism) which requires the following information prior to the opening of a new member account; Name of individual or business, Photo Identification, Date of Birth, Address, Social Security Number. For non-citizens a passport, alien ID card, or Gov't issued photo ID will suffice. Other security information such as date of birth and mother's maiden name will be obtained on that card. Mail the card back to us with your initial deposit, minimum of $5.00.

Open an account for a child or grandchild and HSCU will deposit the first $5.00. (Ages 17 and under)
